Seven Years of Taurus! 🐂 🍃 💫

By | Cool Stuff, My Life on a Plate, Uncategorized

Over the next couple of nights, Planet Uranus is moving into Taurus with the Taurus New Moon, and it will be staying in Taurus (ultimate Earth sign of the zodiac) for the next seven years. Plus, the New Moon is actually in the sign of Taurus, too, so this is especially powerful! 🌑 💪💫

I hear you: wtf does that mean?! 😂

So, basically, Uranus only moves into each sign every 84 years – because there are so many signs to get through, and it stays with each sign for seven years, so it takes 84 years to go full circle and get back around to each one again!
When it ‘moves in’ with each sign, it really gets comfy with the qualities of that sign, and brings a lot of that sign’s energy to the planet during the seven years that they live together.

An example of this would be how Uranus is just moving out of the feisty zodiac sign of Aries, where it has been for the last seven years (Aries is the sign that precedes Taurus). Aries is a sign of the Self. It’s a very selfish sign (not in a bad way!), and it likes to feel acknowledged, powerful and validated. So, it would make sense that during the last seven years, when Uranus has been ‘living’ in the sign of Aries, the world has really seen the birth and rise of the Selfie!

If Uranus is now moving into Taurus, it means that the world will be naturally moving forward in a more earthy direction. We will see more awareness around subjects like animal rights, environmental issues, human rights, ways to help Mother Earth and all her creatures.
As Taurus is also very much connected to the home, food, romance, sensuality, security and long-term planning, these next seven years are the perfect time to really think about how happy you are with these areas of your life.
Start laying firm foundations and strong roots for long-term plans to do with your home, family relationships, romantic relationships, healthier lifestyles (I suspect we will see a big increase in vegetarianism in the next seven years), and financial security. If you consciously do this, you will be cosmically supported as Uranus and Taurus work together to help create a better, healthier, happier Earth.

I will be writing a list of intentions for the next seven years, for my own life and well-being, as well as the general well-being of Earth and all who live here.
My ritual will be to walk barefoot outside on the grass, lighting candles, and burying my list of intentions in the ground (the perfect way to finish!).

Why don’t you try doing the same? Any sort of intention writing and ritual will be especially powerful during this New Moon, particularly if you centre it around the energetic qualities of Taurus.

Good luck, with love and light! 🙏💕💫

Lovely Review! 💜

By | My Life on a Plate, White Petals, Writing Stuff

Weather has been really dull this week, and I’ve not been feeling too well, either.

I was sulking around the house this morning, drinking ginger and honey to try and boost my immune system a bit, and as I sat down to check my emails etc, I was uplifted by this lovely review…

“I’ve just finished White Petals, and I was so happy with the way it ended! 😀 There was a bit in the last couple of pages where Emmeline says about how human beings always try to explain everything in life, but sometimes we can’t really explain things, and we just have to accept them and have faith. She talks about all the ‘thousands of little synchronicities that we are mostly unaware of’, and that paragraph really struck me. I’ve been going through a bit of a tough time lately, and something about those words brought comfort to me.”

– Casey, 17

Casey’s words came at the right time for me, and just as the words in my book brought comfort to her, her words brought comfort to me. So, Casey, wherever you are, thank you! This was a little synchronicity that I needed today, and I’m very grateful to you! 🙏💜

January Joy!

By | My Life on a Plate, Uncategorized

January, for me, is not about starting something new. It’s about resting after Christmas! 😂

I used to follow the crowd, by making New Year resolutions, setting goals, making plans… And then I’d feel bad when I started to feel the pressure of trying to keep up with them all.

So, a while back, I decided to just not do it.

I kind of stuck my middle finger up to it all, and gave myself permission to breathe, relax, rest, heal, embrace and enjoy myself exactly as I am.

Right here, right now. Wherever I am, whatever I’m doing. I’m good. 😀💫

I tell you something – it did me the world of good! And I’m happy to say that I’m still in that lovely space of self-acceptance, self-kindness and self-love now.

It’s not always easy – it’s something I always have to work on, because my inner bitch loves to try and ruin my good mood by nitpicking at my flaws! But you know, I’ve even made friends with her along the way. We have an understanding now. We’re frenemies! 😂 She is as much a part of me as the rest of my body and mind, so I figured that she deserves her rightful place in my life, too. And since then, she’s actually a lot nicer to me!

So, wherever you are, whatever you’re doing and however your life seems at the moment, please give yourself a break! Give yourself the same amount of acceptance, compassion, kindness and love that you would give a baby or a puppy. And this month, instead of pressuring yourself with goals and resolutions, try embracing yourself and your life with the fullness of your presence, and just embrace your January Joy! 🎉🙌

Happy January!💜

Walking the Path: The Next Natural Step

By | Cool Stuff, My Life on a Plate, Writing Stuff

Just had my article/review published on HuffPost for Walking the Path – the follow-up course after Path of Love, both by Path Retreats.

It seems I am on a linking path with this community, and I welcome the journey, the work and the connection. These have been my favourite things to do this year, and by far the most beneficial personal development retreats/courses I have ever done!

Feel free to have a look at the article/review, and see what you think! 🙂

Much love 💜
