Reviews Are Important!

By | My Life on a Plate, White Petals, Writing Stuff

Thank you so much to Sandra Brideaux for making the choice and taking the time and energy to read my lovely book, and letting me know that she liked it.

It’s so nice when someone lets you know that they have read and enjoyed your book. It genuinely does make a difference, I swear! 💜

This is why we need those good reviews – not just to encourage sales, but to also encourage heart to keep on writing.

Thank you to every single person who takes the time to let an author know that they enjoy and care about their work. It really does mean so much! 🙏 💜

My Dog is my Guru

Bella is seriously winning at life. She just gets it, you know? 💪👑🙌

She’s fed like a royal, drinks plenty of fresh water, and is walked on lush green grass and lovely beaches.

She sleeps when she feels tired, wakes up when she wants to, and gets plenty of ‘me’ time and rest.

She’s always loving, but doesn’t tolerate too much fuss or dominance. If anyone gets on her nerves, she just tells them off, and takes herself away to her own space, without drama or apology.

She loves to cuddle, to connect, to play, to nap, be in nature, and to sit and watch the world go by.

She’s loyal, protective, affectionate and feisty. And she’s usually smiling.

All in all, she’s a very contented, happy dog. And I’m not ashamed to say that she’s one of my greatest teachers in life. If we all lived a little bit more like Bella, I think the world would be a much better place! 😀💜

With Passion and Without Apology! 🙏💫🔥

Evening Meditation Time! Tuning into the energy of summer, with lovely sunflowers as my inspiration! 🌻🙏 💕 💫

You don’t have to be religious, spiritual or even particularly peaceful to have a meditation practice. You also don’t have to be afraid or embarrassed to have one, either.

Many people are under the false (and a little stupid, quite frankly) assumption that if you meditate, then you go into some trance-like state where you levitate in the air as demons whisper in your ear, guiding you to sin. Those notions and fears have been handed down through the years, by a patriarchal system that wanted to keep people in their place, without freedom of speech, or an awareness of their conscious ability and personal power.
It’s an old, uneducated belief system that surprisingly still has control over a lot of people even today!
Most of those people will condemn holistic practices, including meditation and alternative healing therapies, without ever trying any of them! You can’t change or control who people are, what they do, or what they believe. But you CAN control who YOU are, what you do and what you believe.

So, if you feel a call to sit quietly, to walk in nature, to sing or chant, to dance, to howl, to orgasm, to visualise, to dream, to connect, to create, to cry, to shout, to express yourself, to embody yourself, to meditate in your own way – a way that delights your mind, body and soul – then PLEASE have the courage to do so with passion and without apology.

I do 😁💕💫🔥👑💪🙏

Be Calm, Be Present 🙏💫😊

Feeling very grateful today 🙏💕💫
Remembering to nurture myself by getting out in nature and breathing in that lovely solstice air ☀️ .
But before that, I’m sitting down for a much-needed rest moment.
The clock in the background has ‘Now’ written on it, instead of numbers, to remind me to stay present – which I’m doing as I admire my favourite flowers, drink my tea and read my book.

Connecting with Mother Nature 🙏🌿💜

My favourite tree at Buckland Hall, Brecon.
This week, I had the honour of staffing there at a beautiful spiritual retreat, serving and supporting participants through their healing process.
While I was there, I made sure I had plenty of time to sit under this wonderful tree and soak up her lovely energy and nutrients as food for my soul. .
I visited her every day during my own healing process at Path of Love last year, and it really helped to ground me through the tough days.
Allow Mother Earth to hold you. Welcome Her nurturing. Connect with Her soul. Feel and express your appreciation and gratitude for Her love and for everything She provides us. And then take that love, and share it with the world in whatever way lights you up!

Seven Years of Taurus! 🐂 🌿 💫💕🙏

By | Cool Stuff, My Life on a Plate, Uncategorized

Over the next couple of nights, Planet Uranus is moving into Taurus with the Taurus New Moon, and it will be staying in Taurus (ultimate Earth sign of the zodiac) for the next seven years. Plus, the New Moon is actually in the sign of Taurus, too, so this is especially powerful! 🌑 💪💫

I hear you: wtf does that mean?! 😂

So, basically, Uranus only moves into each sign every 84 years – because there are so many signs to get through, and it stays with each sign for seven years, so it takes 84 years to go full circle and get back around to each one again!
When it ‘moves in’ with each sign, it really gets comfy with the qualities of that sign, and brings a lot of that sign’s energy to the planet during the seven years that they live together.

An example of this would be how Uranus is just moving out of the feisty zodiac sign of Aries, where it has been for the last seven years (Aries is the sign that precedes Taurus). Aries is a sign of the Self. It’s a very selfish sign (not in a bad way!), and it likes to feel acknowledged, powerful and validated. So, it would make sense that during the last seven years, when Uranus has been ‘living’ in the sign of Aries, the world has really seen the birth and rise of the Selfie!

If Uranus is now moving into Taurus, it means that the world will be naturally moving forward in a more earthy direction. We will see more awareness around subjects like animal rights, environmental issues, human rights, ways to help Mother Earth and all her creatures.
As Taurus is also very much connected to the home, food, romance, sensuality, security and long-term planning, these next seven years are the perfect time to really think about how happy you are with these areas of your life.
Start laying firm foundations and strong roots for long-term plans to do with your home, family relationships, romantic relationships, healthier lifestyles (I suspect we will see a big increase in vegetarianism in the next seven years), and financial security. If you consciously do this, you will be cosmically supported as Uranus and Taurus work together to help create a better, healthier, happier Earth.

I will be writing a list of intentions for the next seven years, for my own life and well-being, as well as the general well-being of Earth and all who live here.
My ritual will be to walk barefoot outside on the grass, lighting candles, and burying my list of intentions in the ground (the perfect way to finish!).

Why don’t you try doing the same? Any sort of intention writing and ritual will be especially powerful during this New Moon, particularly if you centre it around the energetic qualities of Taurus.

Good luck, with love and light! 🙏💕💫
